Being Church in Strange Times and at All Times – 152

Thursday 5 January 2023

Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

I hope that you will be able to come along to church this Sunday, 8th January. We will be celebrating Epiphany when we remember the Magi coming with their lavish gifts to worship the Christ child. This service will be an All Age Eucharist. The service will suitable for all ages, but if parents need to take young children out, there will be toys provided in the Upper Hall.

Work with Refugees in Calais
After the service on 8th January, Manuel Sager will interview our son, Simon Marshall, about the charity he works with in Calais, seeking to help refugees. All are welcome.

Raclette with the Old Catholics, Friday 13th January
We are invited to join the Old Catholics and the Lutherans for Raclette, 7pm, 13th January at their church hall, Kramgasse 10, first floor. There is more information in the attached leaflet. If you would like to attend please email: nick.ruethy@bluewin.ch by 10 January.

A verse for this new year

'Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
and do not rely on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him
and he will make straight your paths.'
(Proverbs 3:5-6)

With love in Christ,
Helen
