Our Fundraising events are very important as a source of income for our church. We run four events per year, being book sales in spring and autumn as well as a Summer sale and an Christmas Bazaar which runs over two days. This year the Bazaar had a great atmosphere, with a lot of visitors. The funds raised at the Bazaar were just under CHF 13’000 and similar to 2024, but with some variations between the stalls. Up to 10 years ago we would raise over CHF 20’000 at a Bazaar, with Books and Patchwork being particularly popular and our Food stall taking double what it takes now. Times have changed, and we notice at all our sales that the funds raised are decreasing. Nevertheless, in total we raised around CHF 18’000 this year this way and this money is vital to our work.
