Last week we were happy to be able to open our newly renovated kitchen. Our renovation shows what a difference a few changes can make. Gone is the old oven and microwave in the far corner, replaced by a modern industrial dishwasher taking a mere 2 minutes to do a cycle.
Opposite the old oven and hob have been replaced by two new ovens and a larger hob with a super efficient fan above to remove all those cooking smells and vapours. New cupboards and drawers have been added, as well as a new energy efficient fridge. The door has also been removed and replaced with 2 half sliding doors opening up a lot of space in the kitchen.
Everyone who works in the kitchen is very happy with the transformation.
Below are some pictures. The first is before the renovation, the others are from after.

A big thanks to all who helped make this happen, especially Judith from Interiorlab who project managed everything, and found us the best tradespeople to complete the transformation in a record time. Also a big thank you to the team of ladies who cleaned out the kitchen before the work, and then put everything back after Mark had cleaned the whole place from top to bottom – great job.
The final cost was CHF 43’838 minus a grant of €3000 from the Diocese and minus CHF 4300 donated by the community, so in total around CHF 36’700.
