Today marks 120 years since St Ursula’s Church was inaugurated back in 1906. This is worth celebrating. The church was packed today as many came to mark the occasion, and the service and sermon honored our heritage whilst reminding us that the church is more than just a building, we are all living stones, and it is the people who make a church, not the building.
After the service we went into the hall which had been decorated with balloons and flowers, as well as large posters showing the timeline of St Ursula’s, quotes from the community and reflections on the last 60 years from Elizabeth. The bring and share lunch was delicious. A huge thank you to all who brought something as well as the team in the kitchen who worked tirelessly keeping everything running. There were of course lots of delicious desserts too including a special cake with the church on it. We all sang Happy Birthday to St Ursula as the cake was cut.

There was a quiz which several teams tried. If you want to try it, then you can download a copy here. If you want to do it, then stop reading the post here, as the answers come further down. Hint: the History page will help you with some questions.
