Our Faith and Life
We are a community that comes together every Sunday to worship the one God who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit: the generous Creator, who loves this world in all its beauty and brokenness; the merciful Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God who died and rose again to reconcile us to God and one another, and to make all things new; the indwelling Spirit, active in the world and making us more like Jesus as we seek to follow in his way.
Our faith is grounded in the Bible and enriched by Christian tradition. We teach the faith of the universal Church, as expressed in the Nicene Creed. We hold together Word and Sacrament, recognizing the presence of the risen Lord among us in the unfolding of Scripture and the breaking of the bread.
We are an English-language Anglican church, belonging to the Church of England. But we are also an international community united in Christ, including people from many nations and various Christian traditions.
We acknowledge that we all fail to love God and neighbour as we should. In obedience to the God who loves and forgives us as we are but also calls us to become daily more like Christ, we seek to welcome all people while also becoming a holy community, encouraging spiritual fruitfulness, prayer, faithfulness, humility and generosity, as we learn from and support one another.
We believe we are called to share our faith in Jesus Christ both in what we say and in our daily lives, as reflected in our attitude to relationships, work, use of time and money, advocacy for justice and peace and care for the environment.
We need one another to follow this way and we welcome you to join us.
