A Church of the Anglican Communion, welcoming all who seek the Lord Jesus Christ

Welcome to St Ursula's Junior Church

We meet most Sundays at 10.00 at St Ursula's

We meet in church at the start of the Sunday service. After the opening worship, a short talk and a song, we usually go together for our own session in the hall.
We ask parents to bring their child(ren) to the service and look after them again afterwards.

We normally look at the same topic as the adults in church, usually based on the gospel reading. The teaching material is taken from Roots

If you would like more information about the Junior Church, contact one of the people in the who's who list.

Summer 2024

During the summer, both children and teachers take well-deserved holidays. This year we plan to offer Junior Church on only the first and third Sundays of July and August. This means

On the other Sundays, children are welcome to worship in church with their parents. Alternatively, they can go into the hall with a parent where they will find colouring and activity sheets relating to the topic of the service.

Activity Day

This year's children's activity day is on Saturday 24 August. The theme is "God Feeds Us". All children aged 3 to 12 are welcome. You can find more information in the flyer available in the church porch and church hall. This also contains a registration form which should be completed for each child who wishes to take part and returned to the church office by 31 July. You can also find a flyer (without registration form) here.

All Age Worship

On one Sunday every month (usually the second Sunday) the whole congregation worships together. This means that the children stay in church, with their families, for the whole service. The service is adapted so that people of all ages can join in and appreciate it.

You can find information about Sunday services in the next few weeks in our Service plan.

Note that we have strong Safeguarding policies in place.
